After Uttarakhand and Karnataka now, Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani has stepped down from his position earlier today. His resignation has given a topic to discuss for the oppositions. Congress including other opposition parties are calling it a failure within the national ruling party BJP. Earlier, two CMs have resigned from their posts in Uttarakhand and same happened in Karnataka as well. Interestingly, all these resignations came from those states where BJP won the elections and chose their Chief Minister. During the discussion, Aarti Radhika Jerath, a panelist said that It is interesting how the covid pandemic has played out the fortunes of two CMs, Yogi Adityanath is a Hindutva mascot & removing him would dent the Hindu appeal, Rupani doesn't have that & can be replaced.
