Earlier, the top court had asked the Centre to file a detailed compliance affidavit by September 11. This happened when the court was hearing a petition which was filed by lawyer Gaurav Kumar Bansal, seeking an ex-gratia compensation for those families who suffered the loss of a loved one due to coronavirus.
