The ban which was imposed in the five poll-bound states was imposed considering the rise in Covid cases. The cases are still rising across the country and thus the extension of the ban is expected by many. Since the announcement of the ban, several parties have been seen violating Covid norms and holding massive rallies. It will also be important to see whether the election commission reprimands the parties who have violated its order.
