6:04Now PlayingA day after VK Paul, NITI Aayog Member Health said over 6.5 crore people have not taken second dose in stipulated time, officials told Mirror Now that there are over 12 lakh people in National Capital who are overdue for their second dose of COVID19 vaccines.
District Magistrate of South East Delhi, Vishwendra told Mirror Now that a multi pronged approach is being adopted to track and vaccinate those who haven't yet turned up for vaccination.
For this a call center has been made from where beneficiaries are being contacted for taking second dose.
DM Vishwendra says a master data is circulated for Overdue beneficiaries which has been taken from CoWIN portal.
First the duplicate entries are removed and then people are called for taking doses in which nearly 40 to 45% people respond during the first time.
He further said that three prong approach is being adopted by the district officials.
-Cluster approach: In this, a larger pool is identified and vaccinated in one area.
-Har Ghar Dastak approach; in which Civil Defence & Volunteers approach in home vaccination.
-Old & infirm list is prepared for vaccination, in which teams are sent if an elderly can't come for vaccination.
