2:38Now PlayingAs per the latest news on Mirror Now, proceedings against four people for match fixing have been quashed by the Karnataka High Court. This is a case related to the 2019 Karnataka Premiere League (KPL). The Court said match fixing by a cricketer does not amount to a criminal offence. In response to the prosecution appealing to invoke Section 420 of the IPC, to consider match fixing as cheating. Now, the Court observed that while fixing a match indicates dishonesty, indiscipline and mental corruption of player and for that BCCI is the authority to initiate any kind of disciplinary action.
