Prasanta Jagadev was also badly injured in the incident as he was beaten up by the mob which had gathered outside the office of BDO in Banapur, while the election for block chairpersons was underway. A probe has been initiated in this regard. Meanwhile, BJP Spokesperson Sambit Patra addressed a press conference on Sunday and condemned the MLA for this incident. He also highlighted that the MLA was drunk while driving his car, and raised concerns over the matter.
