As per the Mirror Now, Heena Gambhir reports that the Centre is set to announce relief measures in 48 to 72 hours. The food price inflation in rural areas has more than doubled, from 3.94% in March 2021 to 8.04% in March 2022. The fuel & power inflation was led by very high inflation in major categories viz. The manufacturing inflation rose marginally higher to 10.85% in April 2022 from 10.71% in March 2022. Even the edible oil inflation though declined marginally from the previous month to 15.05% in April 2022 but has remained in double digits now for 29 months.
