This comes right after the supreme court sentenced him to 1-year imprisonment for the same. Before surrendering in front of the court Sidhu reached Mata Kaushaliya Hospital of Patiala for a medical check-up. A lot of question is also being raised by the opposition. Former Congress MLA Navtej Singh Cheema – who was strongly backed by Sidhu as the party nominee from Sultanpur Lodhi in the Assembly polls, but lost – drove the former cricketer to the Patiala court.
