4:17Now PlayingAfter months of mounting pressure and allegations, Britain's ruling Conservatives will hold a no-confidence vote Monday that could force Prime Minister Boris Johnson out of office. If Johnson loses the vote of the 359 Conservative members of Parliament, the party will elect a new leader, who will also be Prime Minister. Under existing party rules, if he wins, he won't be able to face another challenge for a year. Johnson has survived several political storms, most notably during COVID-19 lockdowns when there were rule-breaking parties at government offices. The revelations that the prime minister and his staff routinely disobeyed limits imposed on Britain in 2020 and 2021 have fanned national indignation over the "partygate" incident.
