as posted by the channelMassive protests have erupted in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, West Bengal, against the Agneepath Yojana announced by the central government. Protesters have set trains on fire and also vandalized railway stations. Once an aspirant waiting to get recruited in the Army ended his life in Haryana. Protesters are demanding blanket withdrawal of the scheme. 13 trains have been cancelled so far. Police and paramilitary forces have detained many aspirants but protests continue. While talking to Times Now, General Manoj Pande said, "It's really a good opportunity for the youth who have been waiting to get recruited. In a very short time the schedule will be announced."
