as posted by the channelThe situation in Assam has been deteriorating as the state is facing heavy flood flash. Over 11 Lakh families have been affected due to adverse weather conditions. Up to 35 districts have been badly hit by the floods, having 3 lakh lives affected in Bajali village itself. Roads are heavily waterlogged and over 60000 people have been shifted to relief camps. Six rivers are flowing above the danger mark including the Brahmaputra, the widest river, in two places in the state. Till now, 46 deaths have been reported while many go missing. The Disaster Management team is making continuous efforts to rescue people, as briefed by the Assam Chief Minister. As the flood continues to create havoc, a lot of people had to evacuate from their homes. The situation is so bad that even the National Highway that connects Assam with the rest of India is somewhat waterlogged.
