"After discussion with all the NDA allies we have decided to name Draupadi Murmu as the presidential candidate," BJP president JP Nadda announced on Tuesday, hours after the opposition named former party veteran Yashwant Sinha as its joint candidate for the July election. Presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu arrives in the national capital for the nomination filing on Thursday, PM Narendra Modi, Amit Shah along with CM's of NDA ruled states will all be present for the nomination filing, which is going to take place on Friday. The 2022 Indian Presidential Election will be the 16th presidential election to be held in India.
