1:44Now PlayingOn November 6, the Tamil Nadu state Police were instructed by the Madras High Court to allow Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) rallies throughout the state. The RSS is only permitted to stage rallies in six locations by the Tamil Nadu Police and is not permitted to hold rallies in 44 additional locations for the purpose of a rally march. The RSS had requested approval to stage rallies in 50 sites on October 2 in honor of Gandhi Jayanti. However, the state refused, citing NIA raids against PFI. There are 23 locations where the RSS can hold meetings indoors. The request to hold the identical event in 24 more venues was turned down.
