2:59Now PlayingResidents of Joshimath, a sacred town in Uttarakhand situated at 6000 feet, are alarmed by cracks and crevices that have appeared in their houses, roads and agricultural fields. Around 70 families have been forced to leave their homes as they fear their area might sink.News reports say that cracks have appeared in 559 houses in the town and roads and fields have also been similarly affected. Besides these, the poles of high tension power lines are also becoming slanted. Residents say that malt and apple trees have begun collapsing into the ground.
