7:49Now PlayingAfter meeting with Sports Minister Anurag Thakur, the wrestlers ended their protest on Friday evening. The government assured the wrestlers that their complaints would be addressed. The first step was for Wrestling Federation of India Chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, who had come under fire, to resign. The government has formed an oversight committee to look into allegations that the WFI president sexually harassed female wrestlers. The committee, whose members will be announced on Saturday, will oversee the day-to-day operations of the federation. Neither the sports minister nor the wrestlers took questions from the media. Wrestlers had previously stated that they would file multiple FIRs against the WFI chief, but they did not do so.
