The Uddhav Thackeray faction sought a temporary reprieve from the EC order. The poll watchdog was also charged with failing to fulfil its obligations as an impartial arbitrator. Also, the Shiv Sena UBT faction claimed that the election watchdog's actions undermined their constitutional standing. Shiv Sena (UBT), a faction led by Thackeray, submitted a plea to the Supreme Court on Monday. The Eknath Shinde-led group was recognised as the legitimate Shiv Sena last week by the Election Commission, which also gave it the party name and the bow and arrow symbol. Listen In!
