15:39Now PlayingIn this episode of Beyond The Headline, host Tamanna Inamdar will discuss how the charges of sexual harassment made against Brij Bhushan Singh, the president of the WFI, by female wrestlers have angered Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal. He questioned in a tweet whether POCSO and quick arrest only applied to other accused people besides Singh because Singh is a member of the BJP. A day after the issue arose about the wrestlers' attempt to submerge their arduous medals in the Ganges river at Haridwar, Sibal, a top attorney who defended the protesting wrestlers in the Supreme Court, launched his attack. Olympic medalists Sakshi Malik, Bajrang Punia, and Asian Games gold medalist Vinesh Phogat went to Har ki Pauri to protest the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Singh's alleged sexual harassment of multiple female grapplers and the WFI's lack of action against him. We are joined by Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sabil who will be expressing his views on this issue. “What is the ongoing investigation doing? There is 164 statement before the magistrate. It’s a POSCO case,” stated Kapil Sibal, Wrestlers’ lawyer in SC.
