0:57Now PlayingBreaking News: Hemant Soren, the chief minister of Jharkhand, has received a summons from the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) in connection with a case involving money laundering, agency sources said on Saturday. On August 24, the ED requested that Jharkhand's chief minister, Soren, join its probe into an alleged money laundering case. The ED had earlier on August 14 summoned Mr. Soren in relation to a purported land fraud investigation. However, Mr. Soren declined to participate in the investigation by the central agency, claiming he was preoccupied with planning the state's Independence Day celebrations. The Chief Minister further stated that, in 2020, in response to a Lokpal inquiry into his father Shibu Soren, he had given the CBI information on his movable and immovable assets.
