On March 17, Singh and his spouse Charan Kaur received their son, almost two years after Moosewala was shot and killed in the Mansa region of Punjab. The In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) method was employed by the couple for the purpose of conception. Singh vented on social media over the administration's insistence on paperwork to support the child's legitimacy. Singh reported that, in spite of the happy occasion of their son's birth, they were harassed by the authorities who wanted documentation on the child's immigration status.
