7:41Now PlayingAmong the many promises made by the DMK in its Lok Sabha election manifesto were setting the prices of cooking gas at Rs 500 per cylinder, repealing the CAA and reviewing and amending all laws introduced by the BJP government that were unfriendly to the general public. Along with releasing the manifesto on Wednesday, Chief Minister M K Stalin also revealed the list of DMK candidates for the 21 seats the party is running for. This helped to kick off the election preparation process by guaranteeing that, should the INDIA coalition win, the introduction of the Uniform Civil Code would be stopped in order to maintain India's secular character.
