According to Neil, it might not be as bad as you think, and that we might be able to draw some clues from astronauts who have spent a long time weightless in Low Earth Orbit. But when Chuck Nice talks about individuals adapting to lower gravity, Neil clarifies why a species might become more biologically suited to life on Mars over time, through genetic mutation, natural selection and speciation, but individuals can’t “adapt physiologically” to the Martian environment.
