I FACT-CHECKED Every Claim on "How to Sell a Genocide" by Adam Johnson | Reaction

Adam Johnson and Luke Thomas made a video called "How to Sell a Genocide." I watched it and fact-checked every major claim. Here's what I found.

Claim 1: The ICJ found Israel is plausibly committing genocide. False. I played the ICJ president's own recorded statement. She clarified that the court found Palestinians had a plausible right to be protected from genocide — not that Israel was committing one. Adam Johnson told his audience the opposite of what the court said.

Claim 2: Giving aid to specific locations in Gaza is ethnic cleansing. False. I pulled up the actual UN legal definition of ethnic cleansing live — from the Yugoslavia tribunal, 1993. It requires force or intimidation to remove people and render an area ethnically homogeneous. Directing aid to a safe zone doesn't qualify under either the interim or the final report definition. Not even close.

Claim 3: Gazans are indigenous with indigenous support. In the same video, Adam Johnson also says 75% of Gazans are refugees from other parts of historic Palestine. I played both clips back to back. You can't be indigenous and simultaneously not from there. He said both things.

Claim 4: The Al-Ahli hospital was bombed by Israel. False — and this was debunked almost three years ago. It was a failed Palestinian rocket. I showed the crater on screen: Israel's smallest munition, the GBU-39, produces a 3-to-5 meter blast radius. The crater at Al-Ahli doesn't match. Hamas initially claimed 500 dead, then 800. A French independent report put the number at 15 to 50 max. The hospital wasn't destroyed. Gazans posted pictures the next morning.

Claim 5: There's no evidence Hamas used hospitals as military infrastructure. False. I showed a 2014 report from Gaza's own Greek Orthodox archbishop confirming Hamas fired rockets from their church compound. The director of Al-Shifa hospital stated on record he had been working with Hamas for 13 to 14 years. A US aid inspector general referral named 108 UNRWA staff with Hamas affiliation or direct participation in October 7th.

Claim 6: Israel's campaign is savage and barbaric. I ran the math. If Israel killed at the same rate Hamas killed on October 7th — roughly 1,000 civilians in under six hours — it would take 18 days to reach the current 73,000 death toll. It has been nearly three years. Israel has F-35s and 2,000-pound bunker busters. If they wanted to maximize civilian deaths, the numbers would look very different.

Claim 7: Journalists are just adding context when they don't mention October 7th. Adam Johnson literally said that a journalist's job is to add context. Minutes later he complained that MSNBC required journalists to front-load October 7th deaths when reporting on Palestinian casualties. I played both clips. He contradicted himself in the same video.
