YouTube Description
as posted by the channelHow do you protect what you can’t fully see? That’s the challenge especially in places like the NOLA seamount complex off Cabo Verde, where so much remains unmapped.
That’s why we brought two breakthrough tools on this mission in partnership with Cabo Verde’s Instituto do Mar (IMAR).
➡️ SeaSwipe: our onboard AI that identifies marine species in real time, helping us build a living database of deep-sea biodiversity
➡️ Digital Twin: a 3D virtual model of the seamount, built using mission data to simulate future scenarios and guide protection efforts
Together, these tools help scientists and decision-makers visualize what’s happening in the deep, accelerate research, and make smarter choices to protect the ocean.
