OceanX Brings Three Students to See the Ocean for the First Time | Cape Town Expedition

For three students from Kimberley, South Africa, the ocean had only ever been something they read about — until now.

As part of the Around Africa Expedition in partnership with OceanQuest (), OceanX brought these students to Cape Town to experience the ocean for the first time and learn directly from marine scientists and ocean explorers aboard the research vessel OceanXplorer.

From walking the decks of one of the world’s most advanced exploration ships to standing at the water’s edge for the very first time, the experience opened their eyes to the wonder of the ocean and the possibilities it holds for our planet’s future.
