Clay Travis said the Tennessee victory over Gonzaga was telling because Gonzaga was the top-ranked school in the country. After Tennessee beat Gonzaga, now Tennessee is the 2nd ranked team in the country only behind Kansas.
Clay Travis said, "Remember all the idiots out there who said Tennessee basketball would never recover when Cuonzo Martin left? Well, guess what? Tennessee recovered in a hurry and Cuonzo Martin still hasn't won an NCAA tournament game since he left."
Clay Travis said this is the biggest win so far for Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes. Clay Travis called Cuonzo Martin a mid-level coach and was clearly not impressed by Cuonzo Martin.
Clay Travis said if Tennessee would have held on to beat Kansas, they would have been #1 in the country but Kansas beat Tennessee in overtime.
Clay Travis said "props to Rick Barnes and Admiral Schofield and the players on the Tennessee team that could make an all-time run if everyone stays healthy."
