NFL anthem mess, MLB idiocy, LA Galaxy, Elmer Fudd, defunding the police idiocy

On today’s Outkick the Show, Clay Travis shared the latest positive data on the coronavirus.

Clay Travis continued by discussing the stock market surge, where the market had the greatest 50-day rally in Wall Street’s history.

Clay Travis also commented on the national anthem mess once again facing the NFL. Clay’s first amendment test is to replace what might be the objective of one’s kneeling with another cause and gave several examples. “You have a right to freedom of speech but you don’t have the right to freedom of speech at work,” said Travis.

Clay Travis went on to ridicule Looney Tunes for cancelling Elmer Fudd’s gun and replacing it with a scythe. “Elmer Fudd’s cartoon gun was considered to be too offensive and he is now like the Grim Reaper with a scythe. But lopping off someone’s head seems more violent to me than just shooting someone.”

Clay Travis also shared his opinion on the firing of an LA Galaxy player Aleksandar Katai after his wife posted controversial commentary about protesters on social media. “According to the LA Galaxy, cancel culture is now saying you’re responsible for what your spouse says. This is an absolutely ludicrous position.”

Finally, Clay Travis called the movement to defund police departments is “pure lunacy.” Clay shared recent data from Baltimore, Ferguson, and Chicago as examples of why the police are necessary.
