ABOUT AMBASSADOR LIU:
A career diplomat, His Excellency Liu Xiaoming joined the Chinese Foreign Service in 1974. Before becoming Ambassador to the United Kingdom in 2009, he held the position of Ambassador to North Korea and also served as China's top diplomat in Egypt. From 2004 to 2005, Xiaoming was Assistant Governor of Gansu Province in northwestern China
