His work has ranged from the wild satirical fiction of The Cursing Mommy’s Book of Days to the insightful regional studies of The Great Plains, On the Rez, and Travels in Siberia. This selection of Frazier’s journalism since 2000 similarly reflects the writer’s wit and breadth of interest, but its most sustained focus is New York City and environs. Frazier visits soup kitchens and documents homelessness and substance abuse, surveys the damage from Hurricane Sandy, and investigates the New Jersey site of a reported meteorite landing.
