Yesterday, Interior Secretary Doug Burgum ordered a halt to construction on the 810-MW Empire Wind project, saying the Biden administration approved the permit “without sufficient analysis or consultation among the relevant agencies.” Indeed, it’s clear DOI rushed the offshore projects through the permitting process and likely violated the law in doing so.
