A Houston businessman who voted for Donald Trump is now pleading for his fiancée after ICE detained her at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in late July. He says eight ICE agents surrounded Yasmin Suarez Regis, took her into custody, and gave him no explanation at the scene.

The report says Suarez Regis came to the United States legally in 2023 and later applied for asylum, with that case still pending. Her underlying permission to remain in the country had lapsed, and she is now in ICE custody facing deportation. The report also says the Trump administration considers people whose immigration status has lapsed fair game for enforcement.

Roland Martin has zero sympathy for the Trump voter’s shock. He mocks the idea that mass deportation was supposed to happen only to “them bad guys” and not someone the man personally loved. Roland tells him, “we told your dumbass that was gonna happen,” calls him out for crying on CBS, and ends with, “no I don’t feel sorry for your trifling ass” and “you voted for evil.”
