He joked about picturing Hitler's speeches with an added golf commentary rhythm, admitting it just doesn't fit at all. Russell did note, half seriously, that Jewish people historically faced exclusion from golf clubs, wondering aloud if there's some strange crossover there before leaving it entirely open for the comments. Sometimes the joke works precisely because it doesn't try too hard to make a point.
