23:16Now PlayingNorth Carolina State Rep. Tricia Cotham, a Democrat, recently left the party and spoke out against it on Fox News. She said that Democrats gave her a lot of flak for having an American flag on her car, saying Jesus's name in the chamber, and being a gun owner. She also recounted how she was once called an "ammosexual."
Cotham said that she left the Democratic Party because it had become too extreme and that she no longer felt like she could represent her constituents in good faith. She said that she is now an independent and that she is open to supporting candidates from both parties.
