This stands in stark contrast with the record of the Republicans, who tried to sell their tax breaks over the past decade as beneficial to all Americans, when in reality they gave away nearly $3 trillion in tax cuts to the wealthiest 20 percent of U.S. households. They served up these tax cuts to the nations wealthiest households at the very moment that they launched an expensive war in Iraq, contributing substantially to todays deficits and debt.
The question every American should ask is "Who's on your side?" The answer: Democrats.
