11:53Now PlayingRemember when America treated the COVID-19 pandemic like it was an actual pandemic? As insane as it is to think about, the early days of the pandemic were the high point of people actually caring about it, even though cases are now higher than ever. Biden has been in office for twelve months, and it’s more apparent than ever that there are no adults in the room, and the only thing our leaders have in mind is maintaining corporate profits.
This past week, the Biden administration took multiple steps that, had they been performed under the second term of Donald Trump, liberals would probably be losing their minds over. Most notably, the CDC shortened the quarantine period from 10 days to 5. This was done not because of new scientific data, but because airline CEOs asked the White House to do it. Currently, the airline industry is struggling mightily due to huge portions of their workforce being sidelined with a potentially lethal virus, and these fat cats wanted the government to make it easier to force their employees back to work.
Also this week, the administration trotted Dr. Fauci out to all the different news and talk shows to push the line that we must “keep society running”, as opposed to quarantining for 10 days. After seeming to take the pandemic more seriously than the Trump administration did, the Biden admin has come back to the “sacrifice your grandma for the economy” policies we saw under Trump. Larry Kudlow would be proud.
