Republican representatives have been getting torn to shreds by their constituents at recent town hall meetings across the U.S. These are not happening in purple districts either, they are firmly in red Trumpian areas. And these Republican reps were not prepared for the haranguing they received from their voters.
In a town hall meeting in Georgia, Republican representative and child labor-lover Rep. Rich McCormick was blasted by his constituents. One woman verbally dragged McCormick, demanding that he explain what he’s going to do, “to rein in the megalomaniac in the White House,” This received a standing ovation from the crowd. McCormick’s response was to smugly compare the crowd to January 6th-ers, which did not go over well!
Then there was Republican Rep. Scott Fitzgerald from Wisconsin. He literally looked like a deer in headlights when the crowd booed him relentlessly for bringing up supposed, “fraud, waste, and abuse” discovered by DOGE. No one is falling for this lie anymore. Especially when Republicans literally voted to cut $880 MILLION from Medicaid and SNAP yesterday!
