The Real AI Threat No One Is Talking About!

The fear with AI is not only whether humans can control it. It is also who gets to control it.

If a small number of companies build systems powerful enough to automate huge parts of the economy, that becomes much bigger than a technology story. It becomes a question of power.

Those companies could have the best strategists, the best advisors, the fastest decision-making systems and tools that can think and act faster than any human organisation. That kind of advantage could shape jobs, politics, money, security and even military power.

The phrase used in this conversation is “a country of geniuses in a data centre.” But the point being made is that this may not go far enough. It may be more like an army of geniuses in a data centre, owned by one company and following the orders of a small group of people.

That is the part that should make people stop and think. If these systems become as powerful as many believe they will, the most important question may not be what AI can do.

It may be who is giving it instructions.
