9:28Now PlayingYou worked 31 days for free last year. Hock Tan — one of the highest-paid CEO in America — made $205.3 million. That's over half a million dollars a day. And Donald Trump called him a jobs creator.
Broadcom CEO Hock Tan walked into the Oval Office in 2017. Trump hugged him, praised him, and told America this was about jobs. Then in 2025, four days after Broadcom announced a blockbuster AI chip deal with OpenAI, they filed WARN Act notices for 247 workers in Palo Alto, California. Former VMware employees. The people who built the technology that made Broadcom a two-trillion-dollar company.
Since Broadcom acquired VMware in 2023, they've cut approximately 19,000 workers — roughly half their workforce. The workers who survived are paying up to $900 per paycheck for family health insurance.
Meanwhile, billionaire dividends hit $79 billion in 2025. That's $2,500 per second. The average worker's pay went up half a percent. CEOs like Tan saw their pay jump eleven percent in real terms.
This is not an anomaly. It's the system working exactly as designed. And Donald Trump is its biggest cheerleader.
