Recently, former Republican representative Barbara Comstock, who served in Congress until 2019, penned an essay for the New York Times where she referred to Donald Trump as quote, the patron Saint of sore losers. And I got to tell you that is probably one of the best descriptions I've ever seen of Donald Trump, because it goes along lines with what we have been saying for months now about the Republican party and that is, you're following one of the biggest political losers of our generation into oblivion. Now, I don't need to rehash all this, but of course I will. Let's not forget all the special elections that Republicans lost during Donald Trump's administration. Of course, they lost the House in 2018, the Senate and the White House in 2020, in neither presidential election that he ran in was he able to secure a majority of popular vote, lost by millions of votes in both cases. But obviously 2016, the electoral college gave him the presidency.

But either way, you never were able to get a majority of people to say, yes, I like this guy. Yes, I want this guy to be president. And that is also shown with the fact that he never had and approval rating aggregate that even hit 50%. The guy was universally despised by most people in this country and still is to this day. Yet Republicans, as Comstock laments, continue to follow him. Here's a little more about what Comstock had to say. He is not the future and Republicans need to stop fearing him. He will continue to damage the party if we don't face the January 6th facts head on. Republicans need to have more faith in their policies. Okay. Before I even continue reading, I'm gonna have to stop you right there, Comstock. More faith in their policy? What are their policies? Because you didn't, you didn't explain to those, because you don't have any. Republicans need to have more faith in their policies.

Republicans need to come up with a policy that's not cutting taxes for the wealthy. Literally the only thing y'all have done for 40 years is cut taxes for the wealthy. And of course at the state level, suppress voters, that's it. That's all you have done. So stop acting like, well, we need to have faith in our policies. You don't have policies. So just shut up with that. Republicans need to have more faith in their policies and stop being afraid of a dangerous and diminished man who has divided the country and now divides our party. Reconsider the commission, let the investigation go ahead and run and win in 2022 on the truth. Yeah, you see the party can't do that either because they don't run on the truth. I'm glad you called out Trump, but you still seem to be laboring under the delusion that the Republican party has something to offer the American public. You don't.

You really haven't in decades. Like literally my entire life, because I'm under 40, the Republican party has not had a fresh idea on how to help people in this country. It simply has not happened. So stop acting like the truth shall set you free. No, y'all were on this dangerous path long before Donald Trump came along and you're not doing so well with him, obviously, as the leader of your party. He's taking you down that path even faster than you were going, but he didn't put you there.]
