The only problem, as an interviewer had to tell him during his announcement, is that he announced he was running for the wrong district. A man by the name of Jason Riddle, who was arrested in February after boasting about the fact that he was among the Capitol rioters that stormed the Capitol on January 6th. He also claimed two reporters on NBC 10, up in Boston, that he broke into a liquor cabinet in Congress, chugged a bottle of wine and then got the hell out of there. And now Mr. Riddle says he is running for Congress. And during a recent interview with local news outlets, Mr. Riddle didn't even know what office he's declared himself he's running for. He said that he was going to run against Democrat Ann Kuster in the 2022 midterms, but Kuster is not a state representative, but rather a member of the US Congress. And he responded after being confronted with this, like, yeah, you're, you're running for the wrong office. He said, I thought Ann was a state representative? No, the reporter said. So a state representative is in the state house in Concord, New Hampshire. And Riddle said, yeah, that's what Ann is. The reporter then told him, no, no, it's not. That's not what she is. She doesn't work in Concord, she works in, in Washington, DC.

And he said, well, this is what he said, well, I guess I've got to run against that then. So this guy who knowingly boasted about being among the Capitol rioters, was arrested in February, says he's running for Congress, doesn't know what office specifically he's running for in Congress. Is it stea? Is it, is it federal? I don't know. Who is this person I'm even running against? Where does she work? But the thing is, if this dude thinks he can run for an office in Congress, um, he may want to make sure his trial has concluded by then and that he's not in prison because as it is right now, Mr. Riddle is actually barred from entering Washington, DC while the case is pending. So, you know, that kind of makes it a little difficult to go and be a member of Congress when you are literally not even allowed in the city. But more importantly, you're probably going to jail. I mean, you were arrested, you did boast about these things, about doing the things that you're charged with, which are illegally entering a restricted building, theft of government properly, property, and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.

So, yeah. Um, I don't know the rules specifically about running for Congress if you're in jail. I know that makes it a little hard to make phone calls and knock on doors, you know, and spread the word about your campaign. But hey, Mr. Riddle, more power to you, right? Really to me with this story shows is not only how ignorant they are because again, the guy doesn't even know who he's running against, what office they hold, but how delusional some of these individuals are. Like they are blind to the fact that you're going to end up going to jail most likely. But still delusional enough to think I'm going to run for Congress. Some Congress, maybe state, maybe federal, I don't know. Maybe I'll go to a different state. These folks really have no idea what's happening. They don't understand the trouble they're in. They don't understand their actions. And that's terrifying because that just shows us that they didn't learn anything from any of this. They think that they're untouchable and hopefully these prosecutions will finally convince them otherwise.
