Lauren Boebert Mocks Dying Afghan Refugees On Twitter

Republican Representative Lauren Boebert hit a new low this week when she retweeted a video of Afghan refugees desperately trying to board a plane (where several died in the process) and adding that "at least they don't have to read mean tweets." This is a reference to former President Donald Trump compared to current President Joe Biden, and it makes absolutely no sense. But more importantly, it was incredibly tone deaf and lacking in any form of human compassion. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.

Republican representative Lauren Boebert proved this week that she can get even more disgusting than we had previously thought. If you've spent any time on social media over the last 24 hours, you have no doubt, probably seen the video of the airplane on the runway in Kabul, Afghanistan, where you had Afghan citizens clinging to the side of the plane, trying to climb on top of it. You know, crowding the runway, trying to get on the plane to flee the country. Seven people died, by the way, at least seven people died trying to escape the country on that plane. So Lauren Boebert decides to retweet the video of the people, basically getting run over by the plane and she said, at least they won't have to read mean tweets. At least they won't have to read mean tweets. Now, she is obviously referring to the fact that yeah, if Donald Trump were president, there'd be mean tweets. One, that still doesn't even make any sense and two, human beings lost their lives in that video you retweeted. And this is the best you can come up with? This is sociopathic behavior.

Lauren Boebert did not see the people in that video as human beings. She has no empathy for them. She is incapable of having empathy for these individuals who lost their lives and even for the individuals who didn't die, but are terrified of what their life is going to be like now. But she didn't care. She thought she had a funny zinger. She thought she was presented with a gotcha moment and so she took it and she failed miserably and she showed us all what a disgusting little creep she truly is. There is no excuse for her behavior. There is no excuse for this tweet. People are dead and she decided to use that as an opportunity to do what? That's the big question, right? To do what? Your tweet didn't even make any sense. It wasn't a gotcha moment on anybody. It wasn't the punchline to any joke. It was just you being a moron, which is about the only thing you know how to do, Lauren. If you're a Republican, this is what you stand for. If you support the Republican party, then you support Lauren Boebert. You cannot try to divorce yourself from the worst members of your party who clearly appear to be taking over. You own this if you are a Republican.
