Alex Jones Calls Trump ‘Dumbass’ For Promoting Vaccines

Alex Jones is not happy about Donald Trump (weakly) encouraging an Alabama audience to take the COVID vaccine, and he lashed out at him on Monday. Jones accused Trump of doing the bidding of the corporate media, and then went on to suggest that Trump isn't that bright, and that maybe he's even a "dumbass." No argument there, but the fact that Trump got attacked for kind of doing the right thing is a bit ridiculous. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.

As we all know over the weekend, Donald Trump traveled to Cullman, Alabama, where he actually encouraged the crowd as I pointed out yesterday, very weakly, to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Well, that didn't make a lot of people in the crowd happy. They did respond with boos. But there was another person that was even more upset with Donald Trump telling people to get the vaccine and that person happens to be Alex Jones, who has been a long-time ally and supporter of Donald Trump, apparently turned on him yesterday during a segment. Now here is what Alex Jones had to say. Shame on you, Trump. Seriously. Hey, if you don't have the good sense to save yourself and your political career, that's okay. At least you're going to get some good Republicans elected and we like you, but my God, maybe you're not that bright. Maybe Trump's actually a dumb. Look, I'm not going to argue with you on that point, Alex. I mean, yeah. I'm going to go out on a limb here with you and say that, yes, Trump's a dumb. Just not for the same reason that you think that Donald Trump is in fact a dumb.

Donald Trump encouraging that crowd again, even if it was exceptionally weak, was a good thing. We need more people to get vaccinated. But Alex Jones is having none of that. He has to continue to push his crazy conspiracies. At one point, by the way, in this segment, he actually accused Donald Trump of being a lemming of corporate media. He said, CNN snaps their fingers. Jeff Zucker snaps his finger and Trump clicks his heels and hops up there at attention and says, how high do you want me to jump, boss? Yeah, because if anything, Donald Trump is definitely in the pocket of CNN. How do people watch this with a straight face? Like how do people listen to Alex Jones and think, yes, yes, these are true things that this man is saying. Again, I'm glad that Donald Trump encouraged people to get the vaccine. We need more of that especially since we still have people out there like Alex Jones and plenty of the other anti-vaxxers trying to convince people that these things are somehow dangerous for them. That's not the case. There have actually been very few adverse events reported, serious adverse events.

Yeah. Pain at injection site. Yeah. That's something that is going to happen when you put a needle into a muscle, sorry, that's just the way the human body works. It responds by telling you that there is pain there. But that is not an adverse event report as some of these prominent anti-vaxxers have reported. If Trump had done this, encouraged people to get the vaccine months and months and months ago, we might not be in the situation that we're currently today. But he created this monster. You know, he helped push lies. Alex Jones helped push lies. And now Alex Jones is apparently turning on Donald Trump. This is dangerous. This is going to continue to prolong the pandemic, which in turn is going to lead to more and more different variants emerging and eventually we could get some that are completely resistant to the vaccine that we have already gotten. And at that point, we're back to square one, which apparently based on what they're saying, seems to be exactly what people like Alex Jones want to see happen in the United States.
