He also falsely claimed that he had already won two presidential elections, but he actually lost the popular vote two different times. During a podcast yesterday, Donald Trump announced that he is not quite ruled out running for president again in 2024, but he also hinted at the fact that you may have to wait until after next year's midterms before he makes that decision public. Here is what he had to say and this is ridiculous. We won it twice. I've won it twice and now I have to win it again, I guess, if we're going to save the country. Look, I'll make a decision. It won't maybe be for a little while. You know, a lot of people would like to see a decision immediately, but perhaps there's also a big group, including maybe myself that would like to see it after the midterms. So you're being cowardly. You've said in the past, you've actually already made up your mind. You've said, you know what you're going to do. But now you're trying to kick it down the road and say, hey, maybe we're going to see what happens after the midterms because you're scared. And let's go ahead and address that first point you made. I won it twice. Uh, you actually lost it twice. You lost the popular vote in the presidential election twice.

Hillary Clinton beat you by 3 million votes, Joe Biden beat you between somewhere, I think 7 and 8 million votes. You were soundly rejected by American voters twice. The only thing that saved you the first time was of course the electoral college. So no, you didn't win it twice. Not to mention the fact that you let Republicans get slaughtered in the 2018 midterms. Most of the candidates you endorsed in special elections throughout your tenure, ended up losing their elections. You lost the Senate in 2020. You lost the special election in Georgia. You flipped red states blue. You are a serial campaign loser and you know it. And that's what he's so afraid of folks. That's why he wants to push this down the road and say, hey, maybe after the midterms, because if Republicans do not have a sweep of the midterms, you know, basically akin to what the Democrats did in 2018. If Republicans don't do that in 2022, Trump's going to be running scared. He's going to understand that the public is not necessarily in the mood to embrace more Republicanism, which means they certainly won't be in the mood for another four years of MAGA folks.

That's why he wants to wait. But as campaign finance experts have pointed out, um, you're kind of running out of time because you're only allowed a brief period of time for what they call the testing the waters phase. And since you've said you've already made up your decision, you've made up your mind, um, you kind of have to start reporting all of your expenses as a result of that. And if you do not, you could find yourself in trouble. So tick tock, buddy. Personally, I'm not that worried about Donald Trump. We have watched his poll numbers continue to tank ever since he left office. The public, as I mentioned, has rejected him twice. Rejected all the Republicans attached to him over the years. Maybe not all, I guess that was an overstatement. However, he doesn't frighten me. Would I like to see him run again? Definitely not because much like in 2016, you never know what's going to happen and you can't safely say that the guy would definitely lose again.
