Since this school year began just a few short weeks ago, at least 1,000 schools have been forced to go into emergency shutdowns after massive outbreaks of COVID-19. This was largely preventable with a combination of mask mandates and remote learning, but many states refused to do either - with some going as far as to ban these mandates. The children are the ones suffering from all of this, and as long as we fail to protect them, the pandemic is going to continue to rage on. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.
