Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene thinks that there's no reason for people to support Republicans if Republicans aren't willing to take on the tech giants for allegedly "censoring" Republican voices. Greene, without even the slightest hint of irony, tweeted this out from her official Congressional Twitter account that has more than 400,000 followers. Greene hasn't been silenced or censored, but she has to play the victim in order to gain support. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene doesn't understand why people continue to vote for Republicans and honestly, I, I happen to agree with her on that. What is even the point, right? The problem is that me and Marjorie Taylor Greene differ on why we think people shouldn't vote for Republicans. I think they shouldn't vote for them because their policies horrible. Over the last couple decades, they've absolutely decimated the middle class, decimated our environment, destroyed labor unions, destroyed voting rights, destroyed women's rights to choose, destroyed the rights of the LGBTQ community, and on and on and on. But for Marjorie Taylor Greene, the reason she thinks people might just want to stop voting for Republicans altogether is because they're not doing enough to take on big tech censorship, which isn't actually a thing that exists for Republicans. Here is what Marjorie Taylor Greene tweeted out this week.

If Republicans can't stop big tech censorship, then what can Republicans even do? Big tech has gone way past censoring political opinions they don't like. It's silencing truth. If we can't fight to protect truth then what else is left and what are Republicans even for? She tweeted out from her still active professional account that has 432,000 followers. Has anyone watching this ever been able to speak to 432,000 people about how you're being censored? Because I know I haven't, and I've never once whined about being censored. Yes, Marjorie Taylor Greene lost her personal account for spreading misinformation about the pandemic. But she still has her @ rep MTG account. Again, 432,000 followers. Consistently every single week when those Facebook rankings come out, usually the entire top 10 of most shared news people are all right wingers. Ben Shapiro and Dan Bongino dominate that list every single day. Breitbart's on there, Daily Caller's on there. Every now and then Robert Reich from the left pops up on there.

But he's about the only one that cracks that top 10. Conservatives are not being censored. And yes, there are a million problems with the big tech industry, a million problems that we do need to address. Their monopoly practices, you know, choking out competition, stifling growth within their own industry by gobbling up these smaller companies and then shutting them down or copying their products outright, forcing them out of the market. Those are things we need to deal with. We do need to deal with the spread of misinformation. But censoring Republicans isn't actually a thing that's happening. Nobody's being censored because of their political beliefs. But if you're spreading information that could get people killed during a pandemic where we're still losing 2000 plus people a day here in the United States, I'd say, yeah, it's okay if you're not allowed to tweet anymore, after doing that.
