YouTube Description
as posted by the channelInvestigators at the DOJ have ramped up their investigation into the fake elector scheme put forth by Trump's allies, and they are now looking for more documents in connection with the plans in several states. The federal investigation into the fake elector scheme that Donald Trump and his closest allies were pushing after the 2020 election but before January 6th, that investigation from the DOJ is apparently expanding, according to a report from CNN that came out yesterday. This report says that in two states, specifically Michigan and Georgia, the investigation is rapidly expanding with subpoenas flying to the people who were supposed to serve as those Trump electors. And they want documents, they want communications, they want a list of contacts. They wanna know who you talked to, what you talked about and they are specifically asking, did you have any contact at all with Donald Trump himself? Now that's a big one. I'll get more to that in just a moment. But some of these electors are very open about it. They're like, listen, I was chosen as an elector. I was like, okay, cool.
I'm gonna sit here and wait, because if the courts do overturn the 2020 election and they make Trump win, then yeah, I have a role to play. When they saw that that wasn't happening because Trump lost every single lawsuit trying to do that, these electors say, I quit. I, I, I left. I, I said, I'm not doing this anymore. They're fully cooperating, at least the ones that have, you know, spoken to CNN here, fully cooperating with the subpoenas. And some of them are actually telling them, listen, I don't have any documents to produce. I was just, you know, said, hey here, you're ready to go, but it wasn't ready to go. But let me tell you who to talk to instead. They're naming names, which is fantastic. That is, you know, pretty much how you continue on these investigations by finding new leads and these electors who, who technically, of course they did not do anything wrong. Let's be clear about that. These electors did not do anything wrong.
They were waiting to see what was going to happen. It's the people who were orchestrating this, that likely broke the law. And they're naming the names of the people. They're saying, hey, go talk to this state representative. Hey, go talk to these party leaders over here. These are the people who reached out to me. Those are the folks you need to be issuing subpoenas to. So nobody is protecting anybody as far as we know here, which is great because the last thing we want is a lot of tight-lipped individuals involved in this massive scheme who aren't rolling on one another. But that doesn't at least right now appear to be the case. So that's a wonderful development. But back to the point here. They're specifically asking these people, did you have any contact with Donald J. Trump, president of the United States at the time? Which of course means that this is not just an investigation trying to take down Mark Meadows or Rudy Giuliani or Sidney Powell or any of those actors. No, no, no.
They are looking directly for Donald Trump's involvement. They want to know if, if, he was directly involved in this, because right now folks let's be perfectly clear. We do not yet have firm evidence that Donald Trump was involved in the fake elector scheme and I said, firm evidence. Right? That's what they have to be able to prove. We know you've got Eastman. We know that, you know, Rudy Giuliani was pushing this. We know that Mark Meadows had suggested it. We know that other members of Congress had, you know, back and forth, back and forth this issue. But we do not.
