According to the latest polling, a majority of Americans do not believe that their paychecks are enough to cover their household expenses, especially as inflation continues to hammer working class citizens. This fear of economic ruin is going to play a major role in the midterm elections, and it isn't a role that the majority party (Democrats) should be happy with. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains the troubles of American families and why Democrats need to do something fast.

The economy's a funny thing, right? Folks, cuz if you're watching corporate media, if you're looking at all these jobs, reports, numbers, you're seeing the things saying gas prices are coming down. Oh, everything's looking great. Wall street doing good again. I wouldn't know I'd got nothing in wall street, but Hey, the economy's roaring BR roaring back unemployment is below 4%. In fact, unemployment is so low that they're now blaming that for inflation, which is absolutely mind boggling, but the economy is awesome until you actually go out in the country and look at how horrible the economy truly is for everybody. According to a new poll, 58% of Americans say that their paychecks are no longer enough to cover their expenses. A majority of people in this country do not make enough money from their job to pay their frigging bills. And we're gonna sit here and listen to these people.

Tell us that, oh, we're looking at a great economic recovery. No, we're not. This is similar of course, to the economic recovery of 2009 and 2010, right wall street crash. The housing market crash, big banks were failing. We bailed them out. We bailed out wall street, bailed out everybody. Except the working class family. The numbers started to look better again on paper, but average people were left out of the recovery. Their wages didn't go up their benefits. Didn't go up minimum wage. Didn't go up. They continued to get screwed. And it's the exact same thing happening today. The numbers get even worse beyond the 58% who can't make ends meet nearly 30% of those surveys said they planned to seek a job change in the next six months while another 28% will simply look for a second job. So not only couldn't we expect a mass Exodus from certain jobs that aren't paying people enough to survive, which will hurt the economy.

When you see those places have to close their doors, but almost 30% of people also say, you know what? Screw it. I have to go get a second job. I have to be able to feed my kids. I have to be able to put gas in my car. I have to provide a roof over our head and pay the power bill and buy us our prescription drugs and do all of these things that I'm getting screwed on. Not just because of inflation, but mostly because of greed, inflation, gas prices, consumer goods, groceries, pharmaceuticals, all of those. We, the consumers are being price gouged on by these corporate greedy psychopaths in this country. That's what's really killing these American families. And then of course, they go to work at these places that do not want to give them benefits. They do not want to give them pay raises. They do not want to treat them like human beings. They wanna squeeze every ounce of labor they can out of them. And then once that person is used up, they'll just move on to the next one, filling out an application. We are expendable to them and they continue to screw us

Over. We give them our entire lives. This economy is not roaring back. This economy is not good. It sucks. And the Democrats need to start paying attention to that because even though this is not their doing, they didn't do this. The Democrats did not do this, but they will get blamed for it. And there's nothing you can do about that. There's no amount of talking points.
