Ron DeSantis once touted the COVID vaccines and did everything he could to rush them to his constituents. But that was a year-and-a-half ago, and things have certainly changed. On Tuesday, DeSantis announced that he would be launching an investigation - possibly with a grand jury from the State Supreme Court - into vaccine injuries. His administration has a long track record of lying about vaccine safety, but this investigation is just the tip of the iceberg for his administration's assault on medicine, as Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains.

Florida's Republican governor Ron DeSantis has spent the last few years making teachers the number one enemy in the state of Florida. And yesterday following a one and a half hour, uh, conference, if you want to call it that, with so-called medical professionals and people who allegedly had vaccine injuries, DeSantis announced that he has a new target. So teachers, you're no longer in the crosshairs, but who is in the crosshairs now are medical professionals. DeSantis has officially declared war on medicine here in the state of Florida. And he said yesterday following his little conference, that he is going to ask the Florida State Supreme Court to impanel a grand jury so that he can conduct a criminal investigation into Moderna and Pfizer over their covid 19 vaccines. He also said that they will bring criminal charges against those who spread misinformation. Now that was the whole, whole statement there.

So he didn't elaborate on those who brought or, or who spread misinformation about the dangers of the vaccines, right? Cuz he is not gonna go after those people cuz those are the ones he just had on his big conference call. He's talking about people who allegedly spread what he considers to be misinformation about the safety of Covid 19 vaccines, which it is estimated at this point. It's saved at least 3 million lives here in the United States. And I would like to add, by the way, that my mother, my father, and my grandmother are three lives that were definitely saved by having that Covid 19 vaccine. But here we have the governor of this state who at one point, at the end of 2020 and beginning of 2021 was telling people, go get this vaccine, get it quickly, hospitals, if you're not giving out enough doses, I'm gonna cut back on how many you have cuz we've gotta get it out there.

He had his little state vans driving through elderly communities, giving people the vaccine, showing up at their houses. That's how pro-vaccine he was until of course the crazy anti-vaxxers got in his ear and he realized, oh, here's an untapped market for me to pander to. And this is what it has evolved into a criminal investigation into these vaccine manufacturers. Now working at a law firm for over 18 years now. I have seen documents from drug companies where they absolutely a hundred percent cover up the dangers of their drugs. They know it's killing people. They push it anyway. They increase the marketing for it. Truly despicable and disgusting actions from these drug companies.

I have no love for them at all. But on the Covid 19 vaccine front, they saved lives. And there is no denying that the st uh, statistics, the studies prove that these vaccines save lives. If you want to go after the vac, uh, uh, excuse me, the drug companies, Ron, I back you a hundred percent, but not for this. This is stupid. This is petty and this is pandering. You wanna launch a grand jury in the state of Florida to go after the drug companies. How about you look into their price gouging? How about you look into the fact that they pay off generic companies so that they don't have to have generic competition? How about you look at the monopolies?
