Legendary primatologist Jane Goodall has once again reiterated her belief that Donald Trump behaves exactly like a chimpanzee. Goodall first made these observations about Trump in 2016, and she repeated them once again to make sure that everyone understands his behavior. And her observations are quite astute, as Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains.

World renowned Primatologist. Jane Goodall appeared on Ms N B C this week to explain to Ari Meur that Donald Trump apparently acts exactly like a male chimpanzee acts according to Jane Goodall, who as everybody I'm sure knows, spent decades working with chimpanzees in the wild, one of the leading primatologists who ever exists. She knows primate behavior better than anyone. And when she looks at Donald Trump, she sees a primate. Here's what she said. I see the same sort of behavior as a male chimpanzee will show when he is competing for dominance with another, they're upright, they swagger, they project themselves as really more large and aggressive than they may actually be in order to intimidate their rivals. So she's not saying he looks like a chimpanzee. She's not saying he necessarily moves around like a chimpanzee, although the way he stands kind of reminds you of a chimpanzee standing up on their legs.
But either way, she's saying his behavior, his behavior is very primitive. And once you understand that, it's very easy to understand his next move, right? That's the big thing here. This isn't just, Hey, Trump's acting like a monkey. No, it is. He's coming from a very primitive place, and it's very easy to counter that once you recognize it. So for Donald Trump, we have seen this in his behavior, right? The, the assertion of dominance, the way he shakes hands and grabs the person's hand in. Very weird. But again, it's a show of dominance. The way he does stand there with his chest out dominance, and also a lot like you see with chimpanzees and other great apes, they do that so they look bigger, so they are more intimidating so that the smaller, weaker males will bow down in fear. But this isn't planet of the Apes, okay?
This is the United States of America. Donald Trump was a sitting president, and here we have one of the leading primate researchers on the planet telling us that, Hey, guess what? This guy's no more evolved than a chimpanzee. And I think that's actually unfair to say to a chimpanzee. I, I would argue that Donald Trump might be a little bit lower than him. But either way, understanding these facts about Donald Trump getting a better, I guess, sense of the way he is, the way he is, is certainly helpful, not just for his Republican rivals, but also for his Democratic rivals. It's all bluster. It's all fluff. It's not
Real. He wants you to be afraid. And if you're not afraid, if you don't stand down, there's nothing he can do because he is been bluffing the whole time. That's the big takeaway from this, and it's a takeaway that both Republicans and Democrats can benefit from knowing.
