Legal Expert Identifies At Least THREE Felonies Trump Could Be Charged With Right Now

Writing for the conservative publication The Bulwark, a longtime lawyer and legal expert explained that there were at least three felonies with exceptionally serious penalties that Trump could likely be charged with immediately by the DOJ. They range from unauthorized possession of national security intelligence, to concealment of such documents, and much more. In the conservative publication, the Bull Work, an attorney and legal expert by the name of Philip Rattner recently laid out how Donald Trump could today be prosecuted for three separate crimes if the US Department of Justice was so inclined to do this. So let me lay this out. This is of course what Phillip Rettner wrote, 18 US Code 7 93 E makes it a crime punishable by a fine and or imprisonment of up to 10 years to have unauthorized possession of any document relating to the national defense or to willfully retain such a document and fail to deliver it to the officer of the United States who is entitled to receive it. Okay, so before I go into the other two, let's talk about that one. It's illegal to have national defense documents. It's doubly illegal. Basically, the law says if the agency wants it back and you don't hand it over.

Um, okay, I'm gonna go ahead and agree with Rotten that hell yeah. That checks the box. Donald Trump very clearly did that from all of the evidence we have seen. So there's one number two 18 US code 1 519 subjects. Any person who knowingly conceals a document with the intent to impede, obstruct, or influence and investigation to a fine and or imprisonment of up to 20 years. All right, well, we know that Donald Trump was hiding other documents in a storage warehouse in South Florida. We learned that last week. So I'm gonna go ahead and say that, yep, that checks that box. Not to mention the fact that it was, uh, what June, this past summer when his lawyers signed that sworn statement saying, you've got everything. There's no more classified documents here. And then in August, the F b I showed up and found all the classified documents.

So double check mark on that. So if the DOJ were to prosecute and secure a conviction, we're now looking at 30 years in prison for the man who's in his mid seventies. The third one 18 US Code 2 0 71 provides that any person who willfully and unlawfully conceals any document deposited in any public office shall be fined and or imprisoned for up to three years. It also provides that any person who commits those acts shall be disqualified from holding any office under the United States. Yes, he concealed the documents, he lied about it. He took them when he wasn't allowed to, gonna go ahead and check that box too. So now we're up to maximum penalty of 33 years in prison. And also, you're never allowed to hold office in the United States. Again, I will accept those punishments, uh, for Donald Trump. I think that is a great way to go. 33 years in jail and you can't ever run for office again. But again, this

I mean, this is kind of like first year law stuff. That's how blatant the corruption in the documents case is. It really is that cut and dry. But the investigation is a slow process. We do have to be patient. But hearing things like this, actually seeing the laws themselves, reading them out loud, it gives me hope that even the do OJ as as scared as they may be, I don't think there's any way they can look at these and say, we're not gonna prosecute Donald Trump.
