6:16Now PlayingConservative commentator Candace Owens admitted to discriminating against people in her everyday life, and then proceeded to call for even MORE discrimination against people, specifically transgender and non-binary individuals. This kind of bigotry cannot be tolerated, and it shouldn't be normalized like Owens is trying to do. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.

Recently conservative pundit, Candace Owens on an episode of her podcast called For More Discrimination here in the United States. And she was specifically talking about transgender and non-binary individuals. So I'm gonna read to you what Candace Owens said on her podcast where she not only called for more discrimination against people, but also proudly proclaimed that she discriminates against people all the time. So here's what she had to say. I discriminate. I feel like I want to get that off my chest. I'm already feeling lighter, quite frankly. I think we need to discriminate. I discriminate all the time. Um, she said she definitely discriminates against men that paint their nails and wear dresses. I don't really care how you feel about that. Wear your dress and you can paint your nails. But I'd prefer you keeping a hundred feet away from a playground and all of the feet away from my children and me. If I see you, I'm going to cross the street if I'm with my kids. You know what? I'm gonna stop right there for just a moment because you're once again, perpetuating this Republican lie that somehow gender neutral, gender fluid, non-binary, or even transgender people are somehow a threat to children.
Have you even looked at the news from the past week? How about you go look at more Catholic church scandals where priests were raping little boys? Because there was another big story about that just a couple days ago. So you want to talk about the people that are actually a threat to children. How about you go look at these churches out there. The Southern Baptist Convention, huge scandal earlier this year. Republicans totally silent on it because they don't wanna address the real people that are out there preying on children because most of them happen to be an organized religion here in the United States. And what side of the is does organized religion typically fall on Candace? I I think it's yours. I I think your party is the one that loves to wrap itself up in the cross, which I guess would mean that your party is the one that is more of a threat to children now, isn't it?
And I also love the fact that they always say, oh, the, the transgender community, the drag queens, the gender fluid folks, they're, they're so dangerous to children. Really? How come y'all can't point to news report after news report of a a, a gender fluid person or a drag queen or a transgender individual molesting children? I, if it's so common, as you say, show us the news reports, show us the arrest records. Show us all these bad things that you swear to God are happening, but you have no evidence to back any of it up. But of course, your audience is stupid. You are not stupid. You know exactly what you're doing, Candace, but your audience about as dumb as you can possibly get. So they're not gonna take the time to do the research to easily prove that you're lying to yourself. She continues. I don't want a dentist with bad teeth. I don't want Lizzo being my trainer. I am going to discriminate against somebody that is clinically obese. They're never gonna get me healthy. And so when we get that feeling, my mother used to refer to it as the heebie-jeebies. When someone just gives you the heebie-jeebies jeebies, even if you can't quite put your finger on why, I think you need to lean into that.
